Walter Edwards
I graduated with a BA in English from St. Francis College in 1971. Over the years I have had some rather diverse careers, from teaching at a prep school in the U.S. Virgin Islands to teaching kindergarten; from freelance writing to playing guitar in a rock band; from painting houses to being private school administrator.
My writing experience includes freelancing stints with several perodicals writing travel type articles on scuba diving, snorkeling, and spearfishing, as well as articles on various aspects of life on a tropical island.
While teaching, I wrote numerous letters of recommendation for high school seniors that helped them gain admittance to prestigious colleges and universities like Harvard, Brown, Yale, and the University of Chicago. I also established a merit scholarship program for local West Indian students, and I was elected as a member of an accreditation team of the Middle School Association of Colleges and Schools.
I am currently living in Santa Rosa, California.
